Terence Ho Wai Luen is Deputy Executive Director and Associate Professor (Practice) at the Institute for Adult Learning, Singapore University of Social Sciences, and Adjunct A/P (Practice) at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.
A national (Straits Times) bestselling author, Terence has written four books, two book chapters, and over a hundred opinion-editorials published by major news organisations, since 2021.
From 2002-2020, Terence served in policy, research and leadership roles in Singapore public sector agencies, including the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Education, South East Community Development Council, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Manpower. He was a Board Member of the Workforce Singapore Agency (2017-2020) and the Building and Construction Authority (2016-2021).
Terence is currently an Industry Leader Mentor in NTUC's Mentors Network, a member of the SkillsFuture Research Advisory Panel, an expert member of the Chandler Institute of Governance Centre of Excellence on Public Finance and Stewardship, as well as Singapore's representative on the ASEAN+3 Finance Experts Panel.
Terence holds a BA(Hons) in Economics from the University of Cambridge, MA in International and Development Economics from Yale University and MBA with Distinction from INSEAD. He is a recipient of the Public Administration Medal (Silver) and the Lien Ying Chow Legacy Fellowship.
